The GIANTS had a terrific win over the winless Adelaide Thunderbirds, taking control after quarter time to run out 19-goal winners. They led by just two goals in the first term, then scored 18 goals to nine in the second term, before a 32 goals to 24 second half resulted in the finals-bound GIANTS getting home comfortably in the end. Jo Harten scored 30 goals from 34 attempts, while partner-in-crime, Susan Pettitt chipped in with 27 from 35,  and Kristina Brice nailed all of her six attempts.

For the Thunderbirds, Kate Shimmin had a game-high seven deflections, while Chelsea Pittman had 24 centre-pass feeds in a big game through the mid-court. Overall though, the GIANTS proved they were far too good for the struggling Adelaide side, and took home the four bonus points to go with the four points acquired from the win.
